Chase’s first Father’s Day!

Chase’s first Father’s Day!

Celebrating Chase’s first Father’s Day was so sweet!
I love this holiday for pausing to celebrate all of the amazing
men in the world who act as fathers. I am so lucky to have the
dad I do, and the baby daddy that I do. Both of them father in
such a sweet and loving way, along with Chase’s dad and my
grandpas. We had a simple and fun celebration at home in
California before heading to Utah to be with family a few
days later. It was nice to be just us and shower Chase with love! This was also the first time I had to buy Chase a gift since our daughter arrived and I just did not know where to begin! I found that you could put your photo on wallet and thought that would be a lovely gift! Now Chase would be able to see his baby’s face even when he’s not at home as I know he misses her so much when he has to go to work. Do you know any expecting fathers who deserve a treat? A friend has told me to check out Gift Unicorn which has lots of handy gift ideas organised in a cool way. If you’re looking for gift ideas for your favorite dad-to-be, you might want to take a look too! Back to our first Father’s day adventures now though…
We started the day with breakfast in bed for our dad!

His favorite, Vineyard Vines ^^
And is it really Father’s Day without some new ties for dad?
I love this Dazi brand and Chase loved them too!
Father’s Day felt like an occasion for homemade pie.
(I will find any occasion for this :) I got some fresh
ollalieberries at the farmers market, but only had a
few since they’re so precious and hard to find — so
the pie ended up being 3 different kinds … ollalieberry,
peach, and rhubarb! Kind of different but it worked!
My silly attempts at a “DAD” design in the pie ^^ Not the best!
Family selfie before church with a confused Reagan
Yummy lemon shrimp broccoli pasta was the choice of Chase!
I usually do asparagus but he likes broccoli better ;) Recipe here!
Homemade asiago bread to finish it out ^^
And shout out to MY dad…best of the best ^^
So thankful for dads!
