six month celebration + weekend with parents
this weekend was the perfect start to december..
my parents came in town for such a fun visit, and we got to celebrate our 6-month anniversary!
we did lots of fun things around the city, saw the creche exhibit in palo alto, then headed south
to monterey & carmel. it was rainy all weekend but that made it so nice and relaxing and cozy.
here are some pictures..thanks mom & dad for visiting, and for helping us celebrate 6 months of marriage!

we strolled the monterey wharf and sampled many chowders
before deciding on our favorite and getting bread bowls.
next we did the famous 17-mile drive from monterey to carmel..prettiest views!
i was lucky enough to go to tennis camp at pebble beach in high school, so we drove past that too.

my dad is such a jokester and keeps us all laughing on every trip. he tried on every hat in every store we went
into, (including those visors with fake hair that look a little too real) and he loved whipping the seaweed
around at us on the beach. luckily chase loves his jokes and is right there with him!

of course no visit is complete without great food..we had lots of good meals, and our favorite
was an italian dinner at little napoli in carmel, highly recommended!

visits also aren’t complete without a few stops at yogurtland..here is one of our multiple yogurt treats..
my parents were nice enough to get chase and i a room at the cute carmel bed & breakfast they were staying
at, so we got to stay over there and enjoy the darling room and yummy breakfast in the morning! the bed
and breakfast felt so european and we loved getting to spend a night there for our 6 month anniversary!
sunday morning we had breakfast and had a beach walk before saying bye to my parents
and sending them down the coast to newport beach, lucky ducks.
as always, we loved having you here mom & dad! come back soon!
