Desert Road Trip

Desert Road Trip

We haven’t had a good road trip in a while!
(Probably because with two little kids road trips aren’t the go-to ;)..
but during Thanksgiving week when flights were insanely pricey
and crowded, it was the best option. We drove from the Bay to Las Vegas
to meet up with Chase’s family for the holiday and split it into two days.
Luckily that made it so we drove only 4 hours, stayed over in Bakersfield,
then 3.5 hours the next day. Bonus that there was a Cafe Rio at our halfway point!
We also got to stop at the cool Seven Magic Mountains art installation of colorful
rocks on our way through the desert..something I’ve been wanting to see forever!
The girls did great (napped during the main parts of our drive) and we listened
to some good podcasts and books. Highly recommend the Audible original
called “Have A Nice Day” narrated by Billy Crystal…it’s free, download it!
Here are a few memories from our little Thanksgiving road trip..

Nursing breaks and napping breaks ^^
CAFE RIO!!!! Makes any drive worth it :)
^^ Happy little gal to be out of the car and at Rio. She did so well on the drive!
Hotel tubs and hanging on the bed!
Loved this stop and couldn’t stop taking pictures!
It’s 30 minutes outside Vegas.
Seeing the Joshua trees!
Loved our quality time on the road and glad we were safe (and stayed sane haha!)
