December Date Night

December Date Night

The weekend before traveling to Utah for the holidays, we had a little December
family date night to downtown Castro Street for some dinner on a cozy night.
Love the twinkly lights all year round, but especially during the holiday months!
Love being out on the town with these two!
We stopped into Alexander’s Patisserie which seemed cozy on a chilly Saturday night.
A beautiful sight ^^
We started off with some hot chocolate and a warm ham & cheese croissant which was so good.
This combo had us feeling like we were back in Europe :) Our go-to’s!
Yummiest paninis on the perfect bread ^^
I’ve never realized this Patisserie had sandwiches/soups/quiche too when I was passing!
We tried their caprese with fresh mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, olive oil & basil. Simple + delish!
And, the prime rib panini. Seriously the crunchy outside of the bread and soft
inside was soo good! I’ll be back here for some lunches for sure.
It’s tough to pick dessert at a place like this with so much goodness to choose from!
From their homemade macarons and chocolates to all of the tarts and pastries…
it’s a feast for the eyes! Since it’s the holidays we decided to go light this time and tried:
The Tahitian Vanilla Bean Tart. Trust me, this was the right choice :)
It was so light and SO amazing. It’s vanilla mascarpone cream, soft caramel,
& vanilla bean ganache. It was like a delicious cloud floating in the mouth!
Promise me to choose one of THESE when visiting this place! ^^
Thanks, Alexander’s, for the perfect & sweet outing before our crazy Christmas travel.
It really did feel like we were right back in Europe sipping rich hot chocolate, warm ham & cheese
croissants, paninis on crusty perfect baguettes, and light yet decadent desserts. We’ll be back often!

In the new year we hope to try the famous Alexander’s Steakhouse of the same owners!
