Ward Campout in Santa Cruz
Baby’s first time camping!!
In true fashion to camping for the first time with a baby,
we didn’t quiiiite make it through the night ;) but we did
get all the gear packed up, soak up the fresh mountain air
and smell of pine trees/ campfire, eat dinner and roast
s’mores, freeze our buns off, and eventually wind our way
back down the crazy roads late at night with a teething babe
and not enough warm clothes after a big wind storm came in. The tent was pretty cold and I’m now considering buying an RV and getting it insured with good sam insurance. RV’s are pretty expensive so I think we’ll have to save up for a while but it’s definitely an option for the future! We were really well prepared for the holiday, I even looked at some portable toilet reviews before we left! We had a great time though
Oh well, I still count it a success that we tried! Next time :)
So glad we have the best ward to go camping with though!
Putting my Eagle scout to work ^^
Tested out our gear before, clearly she was loving the backpack! :)
Love these pals ^^ The Hogans! Some of our Bay besties.
Here’s to the next time we camp — and hoping
we actually do the camping part (overnight :)
