Visiting Chase’s hometown: Lynchburg, VA!

Visiting Chase’s hometown: Lynchburg, VA!

Our Virginia trip had to include a stop through the place where
Chase was born…Lynchburg! His family lived there until he was
5, and I’ve always wanted to go back and visit with him.
img_5556I knew it would be fun to see, but I had no idea how charming the
town is on its own! Add in the fact that he was born there and it
made for such a special and fun stop. We were able to see the
gorgeous hospital where he was born, visit his childhood home,
and explore the fun town for a day. It was even more fun to have
Reagan along and realize Chase was once her age in this place!

img_5549This town! I was loving it from the second we drove down Main Street
img_5554img_5561 img_5568It was so meaningful to drive up to this beautiful hospital
and realize Chase came into the world here. Now that we’ve
experienced having a baby ourselves, it means so much more!
Also, he definitely wins the birth hospital game.
Who knew a hospital could be so pretty?

lynchburg2 From there, it was on to his family’s house down the road…
img_5587Of course he knocked on the door and became best friends with
the new owners, ha! They were so sweet and invited us in for
an hour to see the whole house, tell stories, and chat. They
are actually the same people who bought the house from
Chase’s family over 20 years ago. We loved the house tour!

on snapchat you saw how cute they were taking us around! :)

img_5605 img_5610Virginia has their own take on Southern food that we loved.
We had to try their famous battered chicken tenders + slaw.
They were amazing, especially with the sauce!!
lynchburg6Peanut butter pie ended things on a high note.
(Their dessert menu was unreal!)
img_5558We walked lunch off afterwards before hopping
in the car on the way to Charlottesville!
img_1502We loved visiting, and it didn’t hurt that
J.Crew’s headquarters are here either!
lynchburg4Thanks for being born in such a cool place, Chase!
(Or should I say Blake & Shel ;)
