Laguna Beach with baby

Baby Reagan’s first time at the beach had to be Laguna.
We live right by beaches in NorCal, but I was excited to
take her to one of my favorite places in the world for her first
ocean experience. I was just reading in my own baby book that
I went to Laguna when I was a month old, so I love that we got her
here just shy of two months. This is a place we love, and I can’t believe
how much fun it was to bring our tiny girl to a place so special to us!
These are the things I dreamt of with having a baby — introducing her
to special places and people and things seeing her discover them!
This was our first trip with her and although it’s obviously different
to travel with a baby, I think it’s so much more memorable and fun
with her along for the ride. We were both giddy to have her there!
My little beach babe on Laguna main beach! (Don’t worry dad,
we only had her in the sun for about two minutes taking
these pictures, then she was covered and nursed / napped
on the beach :) and PS– swimsuit is AlbionFit, my fave!
(please excuse the bad tan lines ;)
Cute dad + daughter ^^
I have pictures with my dad at the same age on this same beach!
We had the place practically to ourselves on a perfect weather day …
not too hot, just breezy enough! These are the perks of going to
the beach the day after Labor Day, when everyone is back.
We beached, strolled, nursed, napped, ate, and enjoyed.
On a little walk to the best lookout spot ^^
And, she’s up again!
We ate at one of my favorite classic spots: Orange Inn.
Laguna has so much great food, but I always have to eat
here at least once … get the breakfast burrito, house cobb,
any sandwich, orange cranberry muffin, O.I. smoothie,
and above all the DATE SHAKE. Life changing!
The Rainbow Factory in nearby San Clemente is also
always a stop for us. We were both in high need of new
ones after all of our travels wearing Rainbows! (Especially
backpacking Europe last summer…basically all we wore).
Chase’s even had holes in them after 4 continents and 40
countries. He was sad to see them go, but it’s so cool that
you can donate your old ones when you buy new ones!
We all got a new pair to go home with :)
^^ I plan on family photos here every year!
The rest of the week we were with Chase’s
family further south down the coast,
so more from that to come!
Love you, Laguna!
