Hilton Head has long been on my list to visit! I’ve always wondered what it was like and wanted to get there. We finally stopped through for a few days on our way between Savannah & Charleston. It was perfect that it was over my birthday and we got to relax and enjoy the beach and beautiful island! It was a lot more low-key of an area than I expected, but definitely lovely! It reminded me a little of the Outer Banks, where we were last year. In a strange way it also reminded me a little of Palm Springs, but obviously the Southern version…maybe just the way it is a lot of spread out communities and resorts in between. We did love relaxing at our nice resort (Westin Hilton Head), and had a few beautiful finds exploring. It was a quiet, relaxing, and lovely stay on HHI!
The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa
Chase booked this for my birthday and it was a fun location on the beach!
– Fishcamp on Broad Creek: Our favorite meal and setting on the island by far! This is a must. We loved the salmon, hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, and the lowcountry shrimp boil. Also had the best key lime pie here!
Reilley’s Grill for Monday lobster night with lots of locals!
Main Street Village..
– Munchie’s: a deli type place with good sandwiches and desserts!
– Skull Creek Boathouse: Another fun and cute spot on the water with good food (and even good sushi if you need a break from Southern food :)
