iced almond cookies

these are the perfect winter treat to bring to a gathering … something simple, but a little different & delicious. i love the almond flavor which elevates them from a regular sugar cookie. they are easy and look pretty and taste amazing. they’ll be snatched up first out of any cookies! :) ingredients 2 cups flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup butter (at room temperature) 3/4 cup sugar 1 egg 2 tsp almond extract icing 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1-2 Tbsp milk 1 1/2 tsp almond extract instructions preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy add in the egg and extract, mix until combined add in flour, baking powder and salt. mix until combined roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on baking sheet. use your palm to gently press down on the cookie and flatten. bake for 8 minutes…don’t overbake! cool on a rack. for the frosting in a bowl, mix together powdered sugar, milk and almond extract. frost cooled cookies and let it set. you can place in the fridge to help them set up faster.
