2017 in review ♥

I love the end of the year to look back on what we’ve done, experienced,
learned, accomplished, seen, and remembered. 2017 was full of so much magic
seeing our baby girl grow and change so much. We had so much fun as our little
family of 3, and also spent a lot of time with the rest of our family as my parents
came home from their 3 year mission in Africa. Here’s a little highlight, starting with
our video of the year below…always my favorite thing to look back on each year!

Our video of the year:

In January we celebrated the new year in the Bay with best friends
and relaxed at home after a crazy end of the year with travels all over the world.
I tried to focus on my word for the year and slow down + savor.
Reagan turned 6 months old and we explored new places nearby.

In February we had some fun days in the city, saw RENT on Broadway,
celebrated Valentines Day together, had the best trip down to Palm Springs
to run a half marathon together (including baby R in the jogger stroller!)

In March we kept running lots of races, saw HAMILTON (life-changing)
and had a crazy month with work so we caught up on everything before
heading to Utah for almost the entire month of April!

April brought my parents home a little early from their South Africa
mission since my dad was asked to begin a new job over BYU Broadcasting.
We were there for the Homecoming and lots of family activities, including
baby’s first Easter. We did the Tulip Festival and had so many fun events!
We celebrated Chase’s dad’s 60th birthday and took Rigby family photos.
Baby and I got to go on the News for a segment on travel with kids too!
I turned 27 at the end of the month and celebrated back in CA.

In May we had a visit from my mom while Chase was in Brazil for work.
We went to Pescadero and had so many fun little adventures. Later in the
month we went camping with our ward (didn’t last all night with baby ;),
did a fun 10k in Los Altos Hills, had a fun weekend and Goat Hill Fair,
and went spring strawberry picking at Gizdich Farm. We had a beach day
at Capitola and did a fun Memorial Day getaway with friends to Sebastopol!

June 1 marked our 5 year wedding anniversary, so we headed to Banff to
explore the most beautiful areas and see Calgary as well! We even went bobsledding :)
We had more beach days in the Bay, did the SFMoma, and celebrated Chase’s first Father’s Day
before heading off for a lot of the summer. Chase took the remainder of his paternity leave and
worked on his company Racepass. We flew home for my cousin Trav & Lilly’s wedding in Salt Lake
and reunited with my entire family for the first time in 3 years since my brother was able to come in town!
We spent a fun weekend in Park City with my family and St. George with Chase’s fam.

In July we celebrated the 4th in SLC and rang in Chase’s birthday a few days later.
We went to the Tetons with my family and came back in time for Reagan’s first birthday!!
We had a fun party for her in Utah and that wrapped up our near-month stay in Utah
for the summer
. We got back to the Bay and took some fun family photos to end the month!

In August we had a fun Cali cabin weekend with friends and then met my parents in
Lake Tahoe for a weekend to end summer! Lots of road tripping during this month.
We also went to our first 49ers game and kicked off football season at the end of the month.
I picked up road biking this month which started a major obsession for Chase and I both :)

September brought fun Bay exploring with a fun day in the East Bay. Labor Day was
spent at Half Moon Bay with friends. We did the Oakland Zoo and beautiful SF Zoo.
Chase’s parents came for a visit for Google Parents Day! I went with girlfriends to the
fun Museum of Ice Cream and we finally did Filoli Gardens for the fall festival!

In October Chase and I did our first Century 100 mile bike ride together!
I went to Utah for a fall visit before we flew to France with my parents for a
week in the South of France and Provence. We cycled, road tripped, beached,
and had the dreamiest time in the charming French countryside. We got back
to California just in time for Halloween! I took Reagan to Lemos Farm pumpkin
patch with friends to end the month.

In November Chase and I had a fun date biking the Golden Gate Bridge and
seeing a show in the city. We did some more Bay exploring as always and then packed
up for 2 weeks in Hawaii with my family over Thanksgiving. We did Maui and
the Big Island. We did a crazy bike ride up a 10,000 foot crater. Best trip!

December gave us some fun Christmas outings in the Bay and SF. We had
a magical Christmas season leading up to our 2.5 week trip to Utah for the
rest of the holidays. (Pics from that still to come). We celebrated the holidays
with both families and loved having my parents back home for the first
Christmas! We ended the year here with friends and fam in Utah.

Loved this busy and full year. I hope that I savored as much of it as possible
and I do love the fresh start of a new year. I already have my word for 2018
which I’ll share soon! Here’s to memories and to new beginnings. Cheers!
