Castro Street is the place to go for ethnic cuisine. Strolling it is like a trip through the
world — with Thai, Mongolian, Italian, French, German, Chinese, Greek, Indian,
Thai, Korean, Mexican, Vietnamese, Japanese, and more. And that’s just on
one side of the street! :) Of the multiple sushi places in downtown Mountain
View, we decided it was high time to try one. We stopped into Bushido Izakaya for a
Friday night date. It’s a cozy small space with fresh fish on display right up front.
We were invited in to try their menu, and it was baby’s first time having sushi!
We would normally try more rolls than sashimi platters due to our own preference,
but it was fun to get a sampling of their highlight dishes and try it out. I think my
favorite part was the unique white chocolate fondue at the end! California roll for me, always!
Cutest little sushi first-timer ^^ Love that she’ll try anything!
The sashimi platter of the day’s fresh catch ^^
We tried a custard-like soup, and the seafood risotto of the day ^^
We also tried edamame and garlic butter corn as appetizers/sides,
and the traditional savory pancake on a sizzling platter.
Yummy and unique dessert to finish! ^^
Another fun night on buzzing Castro Street!
