Strolling San Carlos

Another cute Bay Area town we hadn’t been to: San Carlos!
We  f i n a l l y  checked it off the list this weekend with a little
brunch and stroll in between some rain storms. I biked there and
met Chase + Rea for a yummy meal and some shopping/ wandering.

I am a big fan of all the small downtowns dotting the Peninsula and Bay.
They all have similarities, but also their own feel. Loved this one!
It also has some of our favorite local chains like Lulu’s,
Blue Line, SusieCakes, etc. A sign it’s a good spot!
The downtown Laurel Street is also lined with so many unique different restaurants.

The Italian spot Piacere is one of them, and was our pick for a sidewalk brunch!
Prettiest breakfast ^^
Lemon Ricotta pancakes are one type of pancake I can’t resist.
They’re worth it! We did a half order just so we could try them
and they were heavenly. Light and fluffy and perfectly lemony.
Eggs Florentine done perfectly. Wouldn’t change a thing. Would order again!
And Huevos Rancheros is always a favorite. We hadn’t had it forever
so it was tasting especially good! Such a good dish when done right!

Amen for me! ^^
Strolling the cute downtown after that filling brunch ^^
I was in love with all the cutest boutiques, especially windows full of Christmas!
Olive oil store full of the most amazing flavor infusions in the oil and balsamic. ^^
Picking a treat to take home! ^^

Thanks for the fun morning, San Carlos! We’ll be back through I’m sure!
