Ever since our babymoon in Greece, we take any chance to have good Greek food.
It took actually going there and experiencing the local cuisine for me to really
understand how incredible Greek food is. It’s so healthy, fresh, simple, yet unique.
We are huge fans and since baby R was in my tummy when we went to Greece, I
think she has a love for the food there too :) We were excited to try a new casual
Greek place a few streets away on California St. in Palo Alto! It’s called Kali Greek
Kitchen and it’s spot-on-delish. We went for a little family date night before I left town to
visit family in Utah and go on to France where Chase will meet us! It was the best night.
We love coming here for date nights – a fun street with some great food!
(Térun is right across the street and another favorite)
It was the most perfect warm fall night with some crisp in the air.
^^ And this orange poppy mural is worth coming for alone!
Pretty sidewalk tables that felt like we were in Greece! ^^
Zucchini fritters to start, that were about 10 times better than I expected.
One of my favorite parts of the meal!
WHIPPED feta with pita bread…heavenly.
The olive oil they drizzle on top is so high quality and tasted like the kind we had through Greece.
Homemade lemonades in these cute pouches ^^
We had to try a few things off of their menu!
The lamb pita was AMAZING and took me straight back to Greece ^^
Little one was loving the pita :) ^^
We also had a chicken salad that was so yummy and felt like a little bit of California-Greek
fusion with citrus and beets mixed in with the Greek flavors. Fresh and filling!
^^ Getting kisses stolen before being apart from her Dad for a week!
For dessert we tried some quick loukoumades (Greek doughnuts) and frozen Greek
yogurt topped with sour cherries + olive oil and sea salt. I loved the savory version!
We took a little stroll down the street after dinner and needed our coats because the temp had dropped!
Happy girl with daddy…until it was time to go home…
Haha! Too bad every good date night has to end.
She must have known we were flying out the next morning and saying
bye to dad for 10 days! :( Miss him already…and that Greek food!
