We were lucky to fit in a Lake Tahoe weekend before the end of summer!
We got my parents to meet us for a few days since it’s (kind of) in the middle…
although twice as far for them! My dad flew in and my mom drove a few days
before to stay with a friend, so luckily it worked out that only their Sunday drive
home was the long one. We packed a lot into 3 days and soaked up every second
together. Now that they’re home from Africa we’re trying to find times to meet up
up and see each other anywhere we can to make up for all that lost time! I have a
few posts on the way from different things we did, but here are some main pictures!
This time we stayed in the south at Basecamp, rode bikes, enjoyed the lake,
went paddleboarding, hiked, rode the gondola at Heavenly Ski Resort, had
fun meals out, drove the lake, and mostly loved spending time together!!
Fun to bike rides across the state line!
Paddleboard time! We rented right close by at South Tahoe SUP, just
like last time we were here with all my siblings a few years ago!
Reagan loved playing with Papa Bear at the beach.
The way she looks at him!! ^^^
Those shades! ^^^
Walks down to the lake for sunset! ^^
The sunset was one of my favorites of all time!
It was so calm, perfect temperature, and so beautiful…
watching with my favorite people was the cherry on top.
Can you tell she was loving the water and ducks? !!
Loved this sunset scene of my cute parents ^^
We had dinner one night in Heavenly Village at California Burger Co.
It was so delicious and I’m still dreaming about their salads…and fries…and burgers!
The Californian burger ^^ so delish with avocado, spinach, tomato,
red onion, pesto, garlic aioli, and California jack cheese.
The sweet potato tots on the side were our favorite..
(and as you can see, baby Reagan’s favorite too ^^ :)
Walks in between courses with Papa Bear ^^
Cobb & Southwest salads — both hearty and tasty ^^
Turkey corn dogs for baby girl ^^
We all snuck some bites because..when is the last time we’ve had corn dogs?!
The Sidewinder fries were UNREAL. And, they are bottomless if you order them…
you better believe we took advantage of that! They were amazing. Love this crew! ^^
And we gave into some mini doughnuts at Heavenly Donuts right there in the Village.
Here’s to many more weekend meet-ups! ^^
A few more posts from the trip are on the way!
