June Lately

June Lately

June has been the best kick-off to summer ever!
It started in Banff celebrating our 5 year anniversary,
and we had a few weeks adventuring in the Bay with
Chase on paternity leave. Then mid-way through the
month we headed home to Utah to spend the rest of
it here — celebrating my cute little cousin’s wedding,
reuniting with my entire family with a weekend away
in Park City, spending time with Chase’s family in
St. George, and having some getaways in between.
Now we get to stay here for a bit longer to celebrate
the 4th and go to the Tetons, then ring in baby
R’s FIRST BIRTHDAY before heading back to CA!
Here’s to a June full of all things summer and happy!

A warm spell on the peninsula = pretty (and less hot) days in the city!
3 passports & 3 flight tickets for our Canadian adventure! ^^
Celebrated 5 years of marriage in the prettiest of places!
Our little crew taking on the Canadian rockies this month ^^
Happy 150, Canada!
Reagan did well on her flights! I almost think this age is easier than
when I took her to Africa — because now she at least is more easily
entertained by toys, games, food, etc. Still exhausting though!
We ordered a bunch of SMASH MALLOW flavors after seeing them at REI
so that we can take them camping in Jackson and use them for flavored s’mores!
This chick was interested in opening all the packages ;) but didn’t get
to try one! We tried the churro and I can’t wait to have it on a s’more!
I don’t like marshmallows plain but think these will be amazing toasted!!!
Many Dish runs before leaving town ^^
I finally got a mini double bundt pan – perfect for little gifts for friends!
Cake tins + peonies = a good shopping day.
My brother has business out in the Bay all the time, and we always try to see him
even when he’s busy! Reagan and I drove to AT&T Park to say hi to him in between
him filming the game in VR — she had just woken up from her nap here ;) ^^
Always smile passing the Utah Hotel in SF! ^^
Homeade Acai bowls! ^^
Obsessed with homemade Greek salads and beach days with these two ^^
Baby’s day out at the SFMOMA ^^
Chase had a work trip to NYC for his side business, and
when I saw this picture I was sad not to be there!
I tracked his location and was just pretending I was there with him!
I was jealous he made it to Alexander Hamilton’s grave — we are so obsessed
just like everyone else. I also laughed so hard that he tried to buy me Magnolia
banana pudding and was stopped by TSA at airport security! Love that he asked
them if he could take a picture to show me he tried…haha what a sweetie.
A little scare we had while traveling this month … ha!
So glad we could at least visit the grounds of the Calgary Temple this month!
Popsicle season in full swing…she’ll even share with her dad!
(I make my own with pineapple, banana and coconut milk)
Loved our fun girls night out in the city to see Roman Holiday!
And had some cake deliveries for friends birthdays + babies ^^
Starting the bday gifts a little early since we were leaving town! ^^
Cute girl watching her uncle Jeff’s graduation speech online (he was the only student speaker!!) ^^
We loved checking out SoFA Market in downtown San Jose!
So many fun food stands — we’ll be back there.
Swim day in Los Gatos at our friends the Knudsen’s pool! ^^
I couldn’t believe how hard it has been to find rhubarb this year!
I finally did and was so happy (although they spelled it wrong on the sign ^^ ha!)
Famers markets are one of my versions of heaven ^^
^^ Fresh ollalieberries for one of our favorite pies this month! YUM
This girl loves cruising on her pink trike ^^ cutest and funniest sight!
I’ve been trying to cut back on the sugar a little this month
(at least I was before coming to Utah!) Two favorite snacks
have been this Himalayan Pink popcorn, and also the
Silver Fern probiotic products. We’ve been obsessed
with the chocolate-covered almonds so far, and I’m
in the middle of my month of probiotics so I’ll report back!
I’m always glad when we remember to snap a weekly picture before church!
Our cute friends the Baumans had a baby girl!
Sarah and I loved visiting Lindsay + baby Lyla ^^
I’ve loved training on the Dish way more often with this guy on paternity leave! ^^
Indian feasting and golden hills ^^
Fun to celebrate Chase’s first Father’s Day!
(I made a 3-flavor pie because I couldn’t choose!)
Just before leaving town we took some family photos for Reagan’s
first birthday. Can’t wait to get them back- it was a pretty night!
Chase’s reward for making it through the photo sesh was homemade bread pudding :)
Putting together one of Rea’s birthday presents early ^^
The Joovy Tricycoo — she is already obsessed!
And, flying to SLC! ^^^

These were just some in-between snippets of June.
Lots of fun posts from UTAH on the way!

HAPPY JULY — what!
