Ward Campout in Santa Cruz

Baby’s first time camping!!
In true fashion to camping for the first time with a baby,
we didn’t quiiiite make it through the night ;) but we did
get all the gear packed up, including a 12v cool box I
could keep babe’s milk in, soak up the fresh mountain air
and smell of pine trees/ campfire, eat dinner and roast
s’mores, freeze our buns off, and eventually wind our way
back down the crazy roads late at night with a teething babe
and not enough warm clothes after a big wind storm came in.
We were really well prepared for the holiday, I even looked at some
portable toilet reviews before we left! We had a great
time though. Oh well, I still count it a success that we tried! Next time :)
So glad we have the best ward to go camping with though!
Putting my Eagle scout to work ^^
Tested out our gear before, clearly she was loving the backpack! :)
Love these pals ^^ The Hogans! Some of our Bay besties.
Honestly, the tent was pretty cold and I’m now considering buying an RV and getting it insured with good sam insurance. RV’s are pretty expensive so I think we’ll have to save up for a while but it’s definitely an option for the future! Here’s to the next time we camp — and hoping
we actually do the camping part (overnight :)
