Back in DC with baby

I can’t explain how special it was to be back in Washington DC
with sweet babe Rea. Chase & I fell in love while living in this city
as Senate interns in college, and we used to dream about our future on
the steps of the Lincoln. Coming back with our little girl made us all
kinds of nostalgic and mostly made me so grateful for Chase and our
life together. He has made every dream I had back then come true.
I love him, our babe, and this city with my whole entire heart!
It was the cherry on top of an amazing week in Virginia.
img_5909We took far too many pictures, because it was just too special and sweet.
We reminisced so much and marveled thinking if our younger selves
could have seen us with this darling baby girl and all we’ve been lucky
to do. Returning to old familiar places is so great because it allows
you to see how you yourself have changed, which is always important!

This city is magic on its own, so add in our memories and it’s just one
of the best. It is so beautiful and full of amazing history + happenings.
We stayed in Georgetown and just took it slow walking all of the
monuments, eating at our old favorite spots, seeing some friends,
and loving having baby Reagan along for all of it. So so sweet!
Processed with VSCO with f2 presetWe had to show her the White House before it is potentially
painted gold… haha! (And while someone nice still lives inside ;)

img_6023And, awake! She didn’t want to miss the sights.

img_6004img_6015Sorry for the maaaany monument pictures, but it was
just such a picturesque afternoon in such pretty places!! img_1639This trip we did something new — a tour of Fox News studios
where our friend Nefi works! We met Chris Wallace, who just
moderated the final presidential debate. He was so cute with baby!

dc-with-baby8^^ Dinner at our FAVORITE RESTAURANT ON EARTH.
I had to say it in all caps because it’s true. Founding Farmers.
So good it hurts that we don’t live nearby. It was so hard to choose
off the amazing menu, but we did cornbread, chicken & waffles, and
the cedar plank salmon. All so delicious, and a fun date night together!
img_1641Of course we had to stop into the Google DC office…

we have been to over 30 Google offices now so Chase
loves adding to his count :) Bonus that we got to meet
Curt for lunch there and I saw some old coworkers too!
img_1674Chaia tacos for lunch in Georgetown…but

this place deserves another post coming soon :)
img_1614Another night we saw our good friend Pete who lives in DC!
We missed Sarah who was out of town, but so good to catch up.img_6076Passing the Jefferson on our drive ^^
img_6084Stunning Capitol Hill ^^ the best views and neighborhood!img_6048img_6062Capitol Hill, our old intern stomping grounds!
img_6050^^ She thinks politics are a little boring I guess ;)
I hope one day she interns here too! Best experience.
img_6056img_6067Bundled bebe ^^
img_5973As always in DC, we did lots and lots of walking!
img_5966And lots and lots of reminiscing.
img_5996Goodbye DC, can’t wait to keep coming back forever and ever.

Fun to have Reagan fly out of Reagan National!

Founding Farmers – that makes me nostalgic! I went to GW so it was practically on campus. You don’t know how lucky you are till you leave of course!

This all looks so dreamy. I just can’t get over how adorable baby Reagan is and it’s SO cool that you interned at the Capitol! Reagan is lucky to have such cool parents! Lots of love xxxx

I’ve seen you recap entire countries in less posts than you shared on this Virginia trip. You guys must have really loved it there thanks to your personal connection. Sometimes returning to an old place is better than seeing a new one

OMG these pictures are amazing! They make me miss D.C. SO much! We lived there before we had kids and then moved to Fairfax where our 4 year old was born. So fun to go back with your baby! I can’t wait to do that. XO
