dublin with friends!

we found ourselves back in dublin last week!
our first visit was back during the summer when
we went all through ireland. (and stayed at the best
place ever.. still dreaming of it. this time it was a bit
colder, but still fun! chase had a work conference
that i tagged along for, and it was even more perfect
because our good friends the hammels were also there
for work after visiting us in amsterdam! (they both work at
google too,) so we all stayed at the same hotel and got a bonus
week in dublin with them. it was the best. i’m not complaining!
the first morning it was actually a little bit sunny (still brisk)
and i immediately remembered something i LOVED about
dublin last time … almost every door is a different color!
the middle one is clearly my favorite ^^^
chase was pretty booked up with the conference, but
we found some time to walk through downtown
(and definitely hit penney’s for some shopping) together.
we stayed at such a charming hotel that tammi found.
it’s called schoolhouse and literally used to be an irish
school, so the building is historic and full of charm. also, the
restaurant is amazing and popular among locals so it’s a fun
environment with lots of irish cheer and good food!
^^ irish beef pie that was massive and so tasty
these boys loved the hearty irish meals.
bangers and mash was another favorite ^^
^^ the amazing bar/ restaurant! the four of us loved sitting
by the fire for hours each night chatting and eating way too much.
our final night together was spent in temple bar getting
a taste of irish cheer by listening to all of the pub music!
walking into temple bar (or any pub) and listening to the
live music accompanied by hundreds of drunk people
singing along wholeheartedly, you’ll feel like you’re in ireland :)
i love it!
the band at temple bar was playing some irish tunes,
then switched over to classic covers ike “let it be”
and “wonderwall.” you can bet we were singing
along (or maybe you saw proof on my snapchat ;)
alleyways full of charm with the best of friends! ^^
we are so glad we got a bonus week with tom & tammi.
we’ll never forget our times in europe together! after a morning read of “the irish times” it was off to the
airport where i had a green juice in honor of ireland :)
chase and i hopped over to scotland from there for the
weekend, so more to come from this beautiful country!!
