the most stunning way to see cape town is from above..
whether that means on top of table mountain, or in this case:
from a helicopter! we took this once in a lifetime chance and did a
short 20-minute flight over the city and bay, circling lion’s head peak.
it was a rush! we lifted off right from the waterfront harbour
and before we knew it we were flying over all of cape town.
the views were, quite literally, breathtaking.
look how you can see the reef drop off here! ^^
the water color was so stunning from a bird’s-eye view.
we went out along hout bay, turning back after noordhoek beach.
circling lion’s head ^^
it got a liiiitle bit windy toward the end of the ride,
so i was getting ready to be back on the ground!
^^ and, safely back on the ground!
we went right from the harbour with NAC helicopters,
so we could just walk straight back to our hotel from here!
all those heights worked up our appetite!
so we headed off to the V&A market for some yumminess…
literally…at the crepe/waffle stand
“for the love of yummyness” (a fitting name!)
we ordered up some goodness and watched it cook..
savory crepes, a nutella banana one, and a sweet waffle.
after satisfying our stomachs, we
walked off our meal along the harbour.
