a happy easter weekend

i don’t care what anyone else says – spring is by far the best season.
this weekend proved that once again as it filled up with daffodils, sun,
general conference, friends, and easter. i’m feeling so rejuvenated and
ready for this season ahead after this weekend full of all good things.
we loved going to the easter cantata at church full of the prettiest music + words
to remind us of the beautiful reasons behind this easter holiday. it was beautiful!
^^ i may have been a sucker for these tulips just because they had the word
french in the name. french tulips are even better than regular tulips…agreed?
easter has the best easter candy, and we were lucky to get some in a cute spring
package by chase’s mom. thanks to shel, we ate these all weekend long!
pretty weekend walks and house dreaming ^^
a pretty little spot for brunch ^^
really san francisco, you’re killing me with your spring beauty ^^
the macy’s flower show is happening, which is always a favorite to stop into ^^
^^ pink sunsets from our street at night, & glowing sidewalks during the day.
we also got a little bit of rain on easter morning which i was happy about!easter morning brunch at home was an egg & sausage bake,
plus homemade beignets which we each had five of…whoops! ^^
i also picked up some of this amazing fresh squeezed limeade from traders,
which is highly recommended (as are tulips to brighten up your place!) ^^
after enjoying conference, i made some springy, easter-y veggies to bring to dinner ^^
^^ our easter dinner was so fun {and so delicious} thanks to the nixons who
hosted! i love being with friends on holidays since we’re away from family.
we ended easter sunday with a walk through a different part of the city.
this bright, sunny weekend was a great way to celebrate easter and
the fact that he is risen. easter represents the truth and reassurance
that i love so much and rely on so much. as we start this week off, i
hope we can all remember to live a little better, with less guile, and with
more love. spring is every excuse to be bright and happy, so i’m glad it’s here!
