happy mother’s day!

we were so lucky we got to be with my

mom on mother’s day…this year in LA,

last year in miami! we love celebrating her.

this year was bittersweet since the next 3
years she will be far away in johannesburg,
so we soaked up every second and celebrated
after such a fun week with the family in newport.

^^ i love this blonde bombshell of a mom!
she is one of a kind. no one loves life more
than her, has more fun, is more enthusiastic,
adventurous, or young at heart. she is there for
me every second even though we live in different
places, and she just gets me! she is my best friend
and i won the lottery when i was born to her.

perfect for mother’s day.

i was so excited to give my mom her present this
year…i found the perfect one thanks to the cutest
etsy shop! honestly, go order someone a gift from
marcella — she does the best job, sends you proofs
of what you want, ships items so fast, and her shop
is so reasonable. such a personal gift. i thought with
my parents are moving abroad, and i hope my mom could take this
cute cutting board engraved with one of our very
favorite recipes that she always made us growing up.
then she can make her famous lemon chicken over
in south africa and feel like home! i hope she loves it! initially, they may have had plans on moving to malta, since it would have been the perfect place to start their new business. settling in would also have been comparatively easier with services like Malta Guides to help. however, there was sudden change of plans, and here they are — awaiting their journey to johannesburg.

after lunch, it was off to the beach boardwalk

for some biking (and 6-person surrey biking..haha)

we love this lady and loved celebrating her.
we love chase’s sweet mom shelley and missed
her on mother’s day! facetime and lunch plans for
next month when we’re in town will have to suffice. we
have the best mothers and grandmothers surrounding us!
